Disclaimer

I am a Certified Life Coach, not a licensed therapist or mental health professional. The resources provided on this page are designed to support and guide you on your journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment through art-based coaching. While these tools are meant to inspire growth and resilience, they should not be considered a substitute for professional therapy or medical advice. Always seek the guidance of a qualified mental health provider for serious emotional or psychological concerns.

What's the difference?

Coaching is about empowering and guiding clients to achieve their goals through self-discovery and action plans.

Therapy is about healing and understanding past traumas, working through emotional challenges with a clinical approach.

Mentoring is about guiding through shared experiences and advice, sharing wisdom and insights from someone with more experience.

Training is about teaching specific skills or knowledge, with a structured approach to learning and development.

Counseling is about guiding through life’s challenges, offering support and practical advice for navigating stress, grief, and transitions.

Coaching, Mentoring, and Counseling
Guidance: All three involve guiding individuals through various challenges or toward personal goals.
Support: Each offers a supportive, often non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their goals or obstacles.
Client-Centered: They focus on the client’s needs, empowering the individual rather than prescribing solutions.

Coaching and Therapy
Goal-Oriented: Both aim to help clients achieve specific outcomes, whether personal growth (coaching) or emotional healing (therapy).
Self-Reflection: Encourages clients to look inward, understand themselves better, and address areas for improvement.

Training and Coaching
Skill Development: Both focus on helping individuals develop skills, whether they’re life skills (coaching) or technical/professional skills (training).
Action-Oriented: Both involve specific steps or exercises that lead toward a desired outcome or competency.

Therapy and Counseling
Emotional Support: Both provide support for individuals dealing with emotional issues, such as stress, grief, or trauma.
Problem-Focused: They aim to help clients navigate and resolve specific challenges in their lives, focusing on mental and emotional well-being.

Commonalities Across All Five
Helping Professions: Each role is centered on assisting others in some capacity, whether through guidance, healing, skill-building, or support.
Client Empowerment: Although each method has a different approach, they all empower clients to improve or navigate their lives more effectively.
Structured Approach: While the structure varies, all five involve a planned approach, whether it’s goal-oriented steps (coaching), treatment plans (therapy), a curriculum (training), or guided advice (mentoring and counseling).
