Helping Kids & Teens Heal Through Creativity

When a parent struggles with alcohol use, kids often carry feelings they don’t know how to name — fear, anger, confusion, even guilt. At Ther‑ART‑py Coaching & Studio, we create safe, supportive spaces for kids and teens to process those big emotions through art. In these workshops, they’ll learn healthy ways to express themselves, set personal boundaries, and find moments of joy even in the middle of hard situations. They don’t need to be “artists” — they just need a place to be heard, seen, and free to create.

Because when kids have the tools to express their pain, they can start to heal.

What They’ll Learn:

  • How to express big emotions in healthy ways

  • How to set personal boundaries and advocate for themselves

  • Creative coping tools they can use at home or school

  • Ways to find moments of joy even during difficult times

"I was looking to have some mother daughter time create something special together and I actually got what I expected plus a blast! We had so much fun and this was something we actually never did together as far as arts and craft go which made it very special our shadow boxes turned out so pretty!!  We are looking forward to doing it again very soon!!"

"Every session with Angelica feels like pressing a reset button. Her approach to art-based coaching is uplifting and deeply personal, making every moment impactful. I’m amazed at how much more grounded and confident I feel after each workshop."

Why Art Helps Kids Heal:

Art creates a language when words aren’t enough. It gives kids and teens a safe outlet to explore their feelings, process their experiences, and communicate without pressure. Creativity allows them to take what feels overwhelming inside and transform it into something visible — and that’s where healing begins.
